Symptoms of Sinus Infections
Written by Ron, May 31st, 2008

Did you ever trust a school nurse? I did when she diagnosed my symptoms as a cold. During those days, nobody really doubted a school nurse. Her advice was highly trusted amongst the students. I lived a life of sneezing and nasal drip.

A few years later, I started to doubt what the school nurse told me. “How could a cold last so long and happen so often?” So I decided to pay a visit to the junior high school nurse. She told me that I had allergies.

I asked my parents when I got home for allergy medicine. They had never even taken it before. They ended up giving me something that made me drowsy throughout the day. I couldn’t believe that my teacher actually accused me of taking drugs (the kind that aren’t allowed at school) when in fact I was only taking allergy medication.

That was the start of my sinus infection problems. Here are 2 types of sinusitis (sinus infections). Acute and chronic are the 2 kinds of sinus infections.

Here’s the details:

Symptoms of Acute Sinus Infection

* Mucus drainage down the back of the throat
* Fever is common
* Nasal congestion
* Pain behind the eyes
* Facial pain or soreness
* Pressure around the sinus cavities
* Nasal discharge
* Vision problems
* Headaches

Symptoms of Chronic Sinusitis

* Chronic sore throat
* Pain below the eyes
* Pressure across or above your nasal passages
* Toothaches
* Prolonged headaches
* Chronic nasal discharge
* Bad breath
* Prolonged facial pain

How Long Do These Sinus Infection Symptoms Last?

As you can see, these symptoms have some similarities. However, what is dissimilar is the amount of that the symptoms last. Acute sinus infections can last for several weeks. Chronic sinus infections typically last for longer period of time.

 Legitimate Work At Home Jobs save money on insurance

Go Big to Save Money

Because of the way that rates and terms work with life insurance, considering a slightly larger life insurance policy can actually cost you less. Due to the way rates work for coverage, applying for a larger policy, such as $250,000 or $300,000, can actually cost you slightly less per year. Its not 100% clear why this gets included into the details of how term life insurance companies calculate rates, which is another topic in itself. Just know that you should look into the options you have and get quotes for the different multiples of coverage to fully understand the best way to go.

Don’t Necessarily Settle for Employers Term Life Insurance Program

A lot of times, companies offer term life insurance packages as part of a job benefit. While it is acceptable to keep the policy, you should probably be looking out for other term life insurance possibilities. Chances are, the life insurance that you âre getting through your work may not be the best for you. These policy rates are often across the board. If you re in good health and have an overall good health history, you should definitely seek out separate life insurance coverage. You could possibly receive more coverage with a smaller payment. If you are looking for other options, you could consider the same company that your work life insurance coverage comes from. The provider may be able to help you find a better deal, and will keep the life insurance situation simple, by keeping it within one company.

Work With Your Health Issues

If you have health issues that will cause you to be quoted higher term life insurance rates, dont be discouraged as there are companies out there who will not completely spike your yearly premiums. The trick is to find them. If you have an agent, have them help you in your search to find a company that does not raise premiums for a specific health issue. You may not be able to get as low of a rate as you would if you didnt have the health problem, but you will at least be able to get something thatâ„¢s more affordable.

Escape the Scam

There are many people who do not realize that getting scammed through life insurance is an easy possibility. There are other life insurance companies who are looking out for you. These reputable companies are willing to help out those who may have been scammed in the past. Look for companies that have been in business for at least five years and have quality websites that do a good job of answering your questions.
